Willoughby Village Celebrations during 2007

January 19th Renewal of Baptismal Vows Service 7.30 St Helena's Willoughby Guest Preacher Rev. Douglas Dupree Chaplin Balliol College Oxford, Douglas is from the USA. The Service Commemorates John Smiths Baptism in 1579. This was a huge success and started the year's celebrations in the style we intend to continue.

March 17th Venues in the village. Book Launch "Jamestown Women " by Sue Allan. The day will include sessions with Margaret Dickinson, Sue Allan. Roger Vorhauer will relate his "Family Tree" he is a descendant of Pocahontas, plus the schools project - a play in a day with the Rhubarb Theatre Company.

May 24th ELDC Walking Festival "Walking Home with John Smith" start 6.30pm St Helena's Willoughby.

June 30th Village Green event featuring the Missouri Raiders

July School Production - Pocahontas

September 8th Lincolnshire Heritage Days - Guided tour St Helena's Willoughby and talk by John Haden 3.00pm

September 20th-22nd Community Play to be held for 3 nights in St Helena's Willoughby 7.30pm Tickets £6.50 in conjunction with Blackfriars Theatre, Boston. (This is made possible with a Heritage Lottery Fund Grant)

October 13th at 7.30pm St Helena’s Church. Strawhead in Concert. This world renowned trio from Lancashire recreate the past performing songs and ballards from the musical heritage of these island
