Mumby also has a history equally as long going back to the early 13th century. Their more recent claim to fame being the resting place of Reboth Robinson, a mariner who searched for the lost local explorer from Spilsby, John Franklin. His life story is the stuff of legend.

Many famous people and events over the years have their roots in Lincolnshire. See the Magazine and Tourism pages for more information. Items and events relating to the villages can be found on the Villages page.
